In a new statement addressed to fans across social media, Discord, and Steam, BLUM Entertainment and publisher ConsoleWay have announced a revised release window for their upcoming fantasy strategy game, Crown of Greed. Originally slated for Q2 2025, the game will now launch in early 2026. The delay, while significant, is intended to give the development team more time to ensure the game lives up to its ambitious vision.

Described as a throwback to old-school strategy games, with a modern twist on player agency and control, Crown of Greed is set in the dark, folklore-inspired kingdom of Rodovia and places players in the role of a would-be monarch attempting to reclaim their throne. Rather than relying on traditional direct controls, the game introduces a unique indirect management system. Subjects and heroes act on their own free will, and players must use careful planning—and strategic coin tossing—to influence their actions.
The blend of city-building, exploration, and real-time strategy is further enhanced by a world filled with diverse biomes, from haunted swamps to icy plains, each hiding dangerous locations and mysterious rewards. Heroes are not mindless units but independent agents, accepting or rejecting tasks based on their preferences and incentives.
