Jagex has announced RuneScape: Dragonwilds, an open-world survival crafting game set in the RuneScape universe, launching in Early Access for PC via Steam this spring.

Players will explore the forgotten continent of Ashenfall, where dragons have awakened, threatening the land. Alone or in co-op with up to four players, they must gather resources, craft gear, and master survival skills to confront the powerful Dragon Queen.
The game combines classic RuneScape elements with new mechanics, allowing players to level up skills, wield runic magic, and uncover ancient secrets. The world of Ashenfall is filled with ruins of lost civilizations, mysterious transformative magic, and both familiar and new creatures, such as the fearsome Garou. Players can perform magical feats like conjuring spectral axes to chop trees or exploding ore veins with a snap of their fingers.
Having started alpha testing in late 2024, RuneScape: Dragonwilds will evolve over time based on community input. While the Early Access version is not yet complete, Jagex promises an ever-expanding adventure where players will help uncover the mysteries of Ashenfall and shape the future of the game.
