Atari, along with developers Mighty Yell and 13AM Games, has announced Missile Command Delta, a turn-based tactical reimagining of the classic 1980s arcade game Missile Command. The game is set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Unlike the original, which was a fast-paced arcade shooter, this new version introduces strategic gameplay where every decision matters. Set in an abandoned facility with a mysterious narrative, players must defend cities from missile attacks while uncovering the truth behind what might be a simulation or a real war scenario. As they explore, they will encounter locked rooms, old computers, and newly activated missile command terminals.
Players must carefully manage their arsenal, each missile type offering different capabilities, to survive the escalating enemy attacks. With increasing pressure and growing uncertainty about whom to trust, success might lead to uncovering the secrets of a Cold War-era defense program.
