Twilight Monk, a 2.5D Metroidvania action RPG, will be released on March 27 for Switch and PC via Steam, as announced by publisher Gravity Game Arise and developer Aquatic Moon.

Set in a hand-drawn world, Twilight Monk combines Metroidvania exploration, RPG elements, and an expansive overworld map with dungeon hubs, deep storytelling, and level-up mechanics. The story follows Raziel Tenza, a descendant of the Twilight Monks, who must stop the traitor Nox and restore peace to the land of Speria, which is overrun by monsters. Survivors seek refuge at Crescent Isle’s monastery, but internal conflicts threaten even the monks’ unity.
With detailed hand-drawn 2D illustrations, the game’s world comes to life, blending classic adventure with modern mechanics. Intricate dungeons hide secrets and puzzles that require new abilities to access hidden areas. The expansive overworld map and its many towns will capture the nostalgia of classic JRPGs, seamlessly transitioning battles into arena-style combat shaped by the surrounding terrain.
